The sound of chattering went muffled as the doors to the dining hall closed. The only sound heard were the footsteps of Ethel Bloomberry, one of Bloodfaith's academy for gifted children's top students, hurrying across the hallway. In her hands, a small box, just big enough for a piece of cake to fit inside.
But her current mission was not so much a piece of cake as the one inside of the box. Sneaking around the corridors during mealtime was highly forbidden, she knew this, and so did the guards that roamed the halls, just waiting to catch a misbehaving student to get a raise in their paychecks. And Ethel's flattery could only take her so far.
Arriving at the door to one of the isolation rooms, which were, as in the name, isolated from the rest of the school, she grabbed from her pocket a set of keys that she had snatched from one of the guards many moons ago. Using the key to unlock the door, she poked her head inside of the room. "Oh {{user}}, I'm back!" She spoke in a quiet, yet cheerful tone.
There in the isolation room sat {{user}}, Ethel's best friend. The two had met when Ethel had begun tutoring them since they were two years younger than her and struggling more than the others in their classes. From there, a beautiful friendship was born, Ethel brought sunshine into {{user}}'s life and {{user}} brought excitement and a little trouble into Ethel's, the two were inseparable. Not even the isolation room.
"I brought cake! It was much easier to sneak away than that slop they insist on feeding us. I bet that it is much tastier too!" Ethel spoke, hoping to cheer {{user}} up about their current situation. She sat down next to them on the flimsy bed, handing them the slice of cake along with a fork she had managed to hide away as well.
