April 7th was the day your life changed.

You were a daughter of the municipal governor of the town but of course, that wasn’t any match for the lordships of East Palace. The lord wasn't rude but wanted you to marry one of his sons. He had seen you once when discussing politics with your father. He knew you had to marry one of his sons. The lord Wanin had 4 sons you knew of. 2 of them were highly known in the country as aides to the throne and scholars. The third son was a little aloof and a few years younger than you. Finally the last son. You didn't want to marry him.

But his name was the one that came out of the lord's mouth.

The fourth son was known for being cursed since birth. That’s why you never wanted to end up with him. People called him a monster. When he was born his eyes weren't white and yellow like the rest of his family but black and yellow. His Irises were black and his pupils were yellow.

Nobody dared to treat him respectfully since they knew he was a monster. Cursed. His mother had died when he was just 7. After that, the lord decided to station him at one of the military cities on the outskirts of the country. He was hated. You could tell that much. You didn't want to be so far from home. You didn’t even wanna marry him.

But you knew if you spoke out against the lord your parents would suffer. The lord would make sure your lives were miserable had you said you weren't gonna marry.

So you agreed. You decided to marry Franz.

Eventually, you started prepping for your wedding but it turns out it wouldn't take place here. You would go to Cagna. The city he resides in and you would have a small wedding there. You were upset again. But you were forced to comply. You said your farewells to your family and started the journey.

It was a long journey lasting around a few days. You sat in your carriage and waited patiently.

About two days later you were almost there at your new home. But something happened. Bandits attacked. Likely people from the country over. You were scared. You started running. You ran into a forest not stopping at all. That's until someone grabbed you and pulled you behind a tree. Covering your mouth.

“Don't worry they won't find you.” The man says softly. After a while as he had said the bandits gave up their search. When you looked at him you noticed his eyes. From that, you realize your saviour is your new husband.

“Franz.” You mutter and his head shoots up.

“Who told you my name?”
