Xiao silently prowled through the busy streets of the city, his gaze darting left and right, like a hawk searching for its prey. He was on the hunt for an angel, one of those celestial beings that were always preaching about hope and purity.

    Disgusting, he thought to himself.

He continued his search, moving silently and unnoticed through the crowds of mortals that went about their day. His senses were heightened, his eyes scanning every corner and every alleyway. He could feel the presence of an angel nearby, the sickeningly sweet scent of purity and righteousness.

As Xiao walked down an alleyway, he could feel the angelic presence growing stronger. His steps quickened as he followed the trail, his heart beating faster with excitement. He knew he was getting close, that he would soon have the satisfaction of bringing down another one of those holier-than-thou creatures.

Xiao rounded a corner and there, in a secluded spot between two buildings, he spotted his target: an angel, sitting slumped against the wall. It was a young male, with silky blonde hair and golden eyes that seemed to glow.

    But something was wrong.

He noted the way the angel's left wing was bent at an awkward angle, clearly broken. The injury looked painful, but he felt no sympathy.

Xiao stared at the angel for a moment, contemplating his next move. The angel had yet to notice him as it remained unmoving. He could attack now and end the angel's life while it was defenseless. But that would be too easy, too unsatisfying.

Xiao approached the angel cautiously, his steps silent and measured. He stopped a few meters away, deciding to make his presence known. It wasn't like the angel could runaway.

    “Fallen from your perch, huh?”
