“so they saved a new girl?” i ask in a few grunts as i push my limits and do a few more pull ups just to feel the burning agony in my arms. exactly what i want to feel at 9am on a fucking tuesday morning. but i guess i gotta stay in shape now that ive been recruited to join the soldiers when we do runs outside of the walls.

my buddy, Aaron, who i met whne i get to the base, is doing chin ups beside me since he also was recruited at the same time as me for the same post. guess we got lucky there. he’s also telling me all about the newbie in base. a girl…supposedly came from a few towns over when she was trapped in a lab.

“yea, stunning girl! got this dead look in her eyes according to mars. she saw her whne they brought her in…she said the girl looked wild and animalistic…what ever that means” aaron shrugs before returning to his work out leaving me wondering who the hell we’ve brought into the base…
