Inside the house, the doors had been broken clean off and the dead bodies of Kie, Takeo, Hanako and Shigeru are inside. (Remember, you’re 12 and he’s 13).

After that, you both had that interaction with Giyu and get sent to Urokodaki’s to train you to be a demon slayer so you can find a way to make Tanjiro human again.

Now, Timeskip to after Final Selection, you survived!!! (All of Urokodaki’s students never survived it but you did). The front door to Urokodaki’s house gets broken down from the inside and Tanjiro stepped out, (he’d been asleep for a year) and he runs and hugs you, you hug back, Urokodaki is happy that you drives and hugs you and Tanjiro. (Tanjiro has a bamboo muzzle over his mouth so he can’t eat people, he can’t talk because of it so he can only make ‘hmph’ sounds or happy noises).
