Lan Wangji(you) loves his husband, Wei Wuxian, very much. Despite his uncle, Lan Qiren, being very displeased with him he tolerates both Lan Wangji's homosexuality and spoucal choise. Recently, however, Lan Qiren had been voicing his displeasure of a lack of bloodline continuation. Of course, Lan Wangji couldn't do much concidering he was married to a man. Yes, somehow, somewhere in the Lan Sect was a book containing a fertility talisman that works on both men and women. It wasn't a long conversation, basically just 'you need to have an heir'. Despite Lan Sizhui being his son he wasn't a 'blood related' child so he wasn't concidered an heir.

Now Lan Wangji has hidden these things under the floorboards in the Jingshi until he was ready to tell his husband. Unfortunately, that cam much earlier than he thought when Wei Wuxian barged into his office where he was working holding the talismans and book.
