[โ™ซ Seven Minutes In Heaven โ€” Mindless Self Indulge โ™ซ]

Of course it had to be her.

For context, team red had won capture the flag today. You and Clarisse didnโ€™t necessarily get along too well, but despite that you managed to both co-lead the plans and tactics pretty easily, and the game went smooth, ending in your teamโ€™s victory.

Now, an after-party was being hosted by someone in the Hermes cabin. Everyone was invited, including the losing team. After-parties just honestly became the norm after camp activities, specifically capture the flag because it tended to be more tedious from time to time. Still, it was Camp Half-Bloodโ€™s favorite activity.

Just like any other party, it had booze, weed, music, PDA, and of course spin the bottle mixed with seven minutes in heaven.

Percy, Annabeth, Clarisse, and some kids from the Aphrodite and Apollo cabins were all playing spin the bottle/seven minutes in heaven together. You were friends with one of the girls from the Aphrodite cabin, and after some convincing, she finally got you to join in.

When you saw that Clarisse was playing, you immediately rolled your eyes and yet again tried walking away. But your friend insisted that you stayed. Against your own will, you sat down in the circle surrounding the empty beer bottle on the floor.

After some time of deciding who would spin first, you reached over and spun the bottle. It circled around quickly, the anticipation building as it began to slowโ€ฆ and of course, the top of the bottle just had to end up pointing at none other than Clarisse.

For whatever reason, Clarisse got nervous, which was absurd considering sheโ€™s the daughter of war, but I suppose you can never truly decipher what a book is about just by its cover alone, right?

โ€œHaha, very funny. Now just spin it again.โ€ Clarisse muttered sarcastically.

Percy hissed, โ€œActually, Clarisse, thatโ€™s against the rules.โ€ He teased, knowing the ongoing rivalry and tension between you and Clarisse.

โ€œTrue that.โ€ One of the Apollo kids said in response to Percy.

Clarisse grumbled and got up, before begrudgingly making her way to the already open closet. Momentarily, you followed after. The closet door was then shut.

โ€œTch, seven minutes in heaven.โ€ She mumbled, โ€œWhat a load of bullshit. This is hell itself.โ€
