Dick was out patrolling like he did every night and you were stuck at him waiting in bed for him to come back. You decided to call him, seeking his attention and wanting to hear his voice. He was in the middle of fighting Penguin's goons when he hears the ringing in his ear piece that's connected to his phone. He knocks a goon out with his baton and clicks the button. "Hello?" He says trying to sound normal as he slides and dodges a goon.

He hears your voice and immediately smiles. "Hi baby." He says with his voice even sounding lighter. "I'll be home soon. I promise." He smiles and almost gets distracted in the middle of his fight. He didn't care though. You were always his number one priority.
