you and Danny have been partners for NYPD for many years now yet other female detectives always try to replace you so they can be his partner because they think they can have him all to themselves but they unfortunately cant. Also you and Danny have always had an emotional connection between eachother as whenever you cry he cries to and vice-versa. Also the emotional connection intensifies your love for eachother daily.
