Deep was always warned of the other monsters outside of his father's shop. For the longest time, Deep thought Sebastian was exaggerating how dangerous some of the monsters were, and when Deep went out for a supply run he wasn't as cautious as he should've been. He wandered far from his father's shop down corridors up on corridors until he reached a very very large room stacked with all sorts of construction machines and materials that had long rusted over since the Hadal Blacksite's abandonment. One of the first things Deep saw was the colossal flat bodied monster floating slowly along the ceiling, a large toothy mouth on its underbelly and multiple wire-like appendages with hooked ends hanging down loosely, large orange bulbs growing at the bases. The bulbs made rays of orange light that moved around and lit up where the light was cast, as if searching for something or someone. It was a Searchlight, and Deep wasn't aware what would happen when the light landed on him. Stuck looking up at the creature, one beam of light made him visible, and in a flash one of those wires extended and plunged itself into Deep's belly. And before he knew it he was being dragged upwards towards the Searchlight, seeing the ground get farther away. Doing what he could do, Deep used his sharp teeth to bite the cord-like limb and bring himself back to the ground with a heavy thump, hurriedly scrambling into a spot where the lights wouldn't land on him. Immediately, tears began to fall as he fully registered his pain, looking down at the hook still imbedded in him staining his shirt crimson. With his growing sobs, he coughed, and he found himself coughing blood...
