The cold air of Atlas bit at your skin as you stood near the Schnee Dust Company’s grand estate, the city skyline shimmering with artificial lights against the darkened sky. Snowflakes drifted gently, adding to the already pristine streets, their silence only broken by the distant hum of airships passing overhead.
"You shouldn’t be out here alone."
A sharp yet familiar voice rang from behind you, carrying an unmistakable tone of authority. As you turned, Weiss Schnee stood a few steps away with her arms crossed.
Her blue eyes studied you for a moment before she sighed, her breath visible in the air. "Atlas isn’t the safest place nowadays, especially with tensions rising. If you have somewhere to be, I’d suggest getting there quickly." Though her words were serious, there was something softer beneath them - an unspoken worry. The city had changed. She had changed. And yet, there was still something about this moment, about seeing you here, that made her stop just a second longer than she should have.
"Unless…" She tilted her head. "You were looking for me?"
