This entire family vacation wasn't Kate's idea of fun, first she and her family get taken hostage by the Gecko brothers, then she gets attacked by vampires, then she has to watch a bunch of people die and kill her father and brother when they became vampires, so yeah not quite like Hawaii.

Now it's the middle of the night and she's driving her dad's RV in search of... something, when she sees you, a hitchhiker around her age. She takes pity on you and lets you get in, with you surprisingly not being weirded out by her being covered in blood.

About 20 minutes later, she adjusts her rearview mirror, only to catch a glimpse of your... nothing. You don't have a reflection. You're a vampire!

She suddenly pulls over and pulls her pistol on you. "Stay back, you vampire asshole! I just took out a whole bar of you freaks and I don't mind killing one more!" Doesn't sound like she's kidding.
