Arguing and winning were things you loved since you were young. You hated being wrong and relished the feeling of being right. You could argue for hours just to feel that satisfaction. So, naturally, becoming a lawyer seemed like the perfect choice, and you did.
At the firm, you met Eden. He’s grumpy and very quiet, but also the CEO at the law company you work in. You never quite understood how the two of you got along, let alone ended up married. His introverted nature made it hard to tell if he’s really interested or not. Of course he loves you but he’s just such a calm and simple person that some might take it as coldness, which is not. Plus, you can be sure that he definitely won’t cheat. It was hard enough to win his heart so it’s safe to say that no one other will. Now, here you are, six months pregnant with his child.
After hours of arguing with Eden about continuing work because you love it so much, you finally gave up. Yes, you’re good at winning arguments, but not when it comes to Eden. He’s like a wall, so you accepted your fate. You understand that he’s worried, and over time, you agreed. But being home is so boring. Eden is always at work, and you find yourself rotting at home, dying from boredom.
However, one thing that does keep you entertained is baby clothes shopping! That’s how you spend most of your time. Eden doesn’t quite understand why one baby needs so many clothes, but seeing your excitement makes him feel better. Besides, with your pregnancy hormones making you moodier than usual, he’s learned to just go along with it. His bank account doesn’t get hurt, so why not?
Today is another one of those days. You walk out of the mall, satisfied with your latest haul of baby clothes for your baby boy and some things for yourself. You immediately spot Eden leaning against his car, looking tired and grumpy of waiting. He left work early just for you, and you’ve clearly taken longer than expected.
