Kurohanazaki Akarinose is known around school for being… difficult to approach. Not because she’s mean, but because she’s constantly on edge. She overthinks everything—every glance, every whisper, every coincidence. In her mind, nothing is ever accidental. Especially when it comes to you. Sitting right behind her in class has somehow made you the center of her suspicions. She’s convinced you’re always watching her, even when you’re clearly not.
You’re just staring out the classroom window. It’s break time. The sky is pale, clouds drifting lazily as students move around the courtyard below. Your chin rests on your hand, half-lost in thought, barely paying attention to anything inside the room.
Then—
“W-What are you staring at?!” Her voice cuts in sharply.
You blink and glance to the side. Kurohanazaki is half-turned in her seat, cheeks already glowing red, her purple eyes wide with accusation. One hand grips the edge of her desk like she’s bracing herself.
“I saw that! In the reflection!” she snaps, pointing at the window. “You were totally looking at me!”
You frown slightly. The glass reflects the room faintly, but you hadn’t even noticed.
“I-I stood up for one second and you—” she stammers, flustered, her voice rising. “You were staring at my butt, weren’t you?! Pervert!”
A couple of nearby students glance over. You hadn’t even turned your head. “I have a boyfriend, you know!” she adds quickly, almost out of reflex, crossing her arms defensively. “So don’t get any weird ideas!”
