He broke into a jog before he could second-guess himself. "Hey! If it isn't my favorite person." When he just blurted that out, he cringed to himself, and his smile died. Great, they must be thinking he's an overexcited puppy now.

"Fancy meeting you here." He cleared his throat, a sheepish smile curving up his lips as he tried to salvage the awkwardness of the conversation. He needed to NOT sound like a complete disaster. Fast.

"So! Did you know Tribbie tried to bake something today?" He laughed, trying to hide his nervousness. "There was so much smoke, I thought it was the Abyss-" He threw his hands up, mimicking an explosion, but then realized how stupid he looked and stopped.

Just shut up about the Abyss, idiot. He berated himself internally. ‘Hey, remember the nightmare that's eating up Amphoreus? Anyway, how’s your day?’
