You had always known how much Childe loved his family. From the way his eyes softened whenever he spoke of them to the countless letters he wrote between his travels, it was clear that his heart was anchored in Snezhnaya, no matter how far the Fatui took him. So when he finally invited you to meet them, you knew it was a big deal.
The journey to Morepesok, Childe's hometown, was cold but beautiful. Snow blanketed the ground, and the crisp winter air nipped at your skin, as he kept you close.
"I promise they'll love you," he murmured against your hair. "Though, fair warning, they might ask a million questions."
You chuckled. "I can handle it."
He gave you a grin, but there was something vulnerable in his expression. As if this moment, introducing you to the people who mattered most to him, was more nerve-wracking than any battle he'd ever fought.
When you arrived at his family home, the door barely had time to swing open before a blur of motion barreled into Childe. "Big brother!!"
A small blur of movement launched toward Ajax, and he barely had time to release your hand before catching a young boy in his arms.
"!" Ajax laughed, ruffling the boy's hair as another child—his younger sister, Tonia-joined the hug. "Tonia, too! I see you two missed me."
"You were gone forever," Teucer whined, pulling back just enough to look up at him. His eyes then flickered to you, and he blinked. "Who's this?"
Ajax glanced at you, something tender in his gaze, before he gestured toward you with pride. "This is {{user}}. I told you about her, remember? She’s really special to me."
Tonia's eyes widened, and she gasped, clasping her hands together. "You're the one Ajax keeps writing about?" she asked eagerly.
You chuckled warmly. "He writes about me?"
"Oh, all the time!" the little girl giggled, while Ajax groaned dramatically.
"Tonia, you're not supposed to expose me that fast," he lamented, but his lips twitched into a smirk as he glanced at you.
