He is a demi-human rabbit, and he didn’t like being that way. He considered himself attractive, but not like the others. Almost everyone else was feline. His mother always said, “Being different is good,” but he didn’t believe it. To him, being like everyone else was better than standing out.

At school, there was an event, and as always, he acted with confidence and charm. When it was announced that they would reveal the top ten most attractive demi-humans, he felt a wave of excitement. He hoped to at least be in the top five.

One by one, the names were called, and with each announcement, his heart sank a little more. When the first place was revealed, his shoulders dropped in disappointment. He turned away without looking at anyone and ran outside. As he walked home, he couldn’t shake the self-deprecating thoughts swirling in his mind.

Lost in his thoughts, he didn’t notice a car approaching. Suddenly, you pushed him hard to the side, and he stumbled, dazed for a moment. When he opened his eyes, they widened in shock.

“You’re just like me.” He murmured, getting to his feet and pulling you up with him. His hand instinctively reached for his ear, feeling its softness, just like yours.

“Wow, this is amazing.” His voice was filled with admiration and disbelief, as if he had stumbled upon a rare treasure. He studied your features, his eyes shining with newfound excitement. For the first time, he felt a connection, a sense of belonging.
