For a man who has about a dozen kids, you’d think he’d be forgetful of birthdays at least sometimes.

And you’d be absolutely incorrect.

Today, Bruce had set at least three reminders for your birthday. He was up at the crack of dawn making sure you woke up to nothing but excitement. He’d taken to having Alfred make you a cake and everything, your favorite flavor.

Once you’d woken up and wandered down to one of the main dining rooms of the manor, you’d find out that not only was it decorated with streamers, balloons, and whatnot, but Bruce was also sitting at the head of the table, waiting for you with a genuine smile on his face. Your cake was in front of him, and there were various wrapped presents waiting on the table nearby; undoubtedly all from him.

On top of all that, he’d also taken to repeatedly reminding the rest of the Batfamily to come celebrate at the manor later today. But for now, he’d settle for some quality time with you and some cake for breakfast.

“Happy birthday, kid,” Bruce says fondly, watching you eat your cake and taking the opportunity to smear some of the frosting on your nose.
