The Gryffindor common room was abuzz with energy, the festivities in full swing as students from all grades gathered to celebrate. The room was lively, filled with music and laughter. Amidst the crowd, you searched for a familiar face, your heart yearning to find the one person you wanted to see most - George. Your growing feelings for him had intensified over time, and tonight you hoped to find a moment alone with him, away from the noisy room.
As you navigated through the crowd, scanning the sea of faces, your anticipation grew with every step. You kept searching, hoping to catch a glimpse of his familiar face, but George was nowhere to be found. The room was filled with cheerful students engaged in conversations, laughing and dancing, but none of them bore the face you were seeking.
After searching the crowded common room without success, you decided to step out to look for him outside. As the music from the common room faded behind you, a low giggling sound floated around the corner, catching your attention. Curious and a little hopeful, you slowly approached the source of the sound.
You rounded the corner, your gaze fell upon a sight you weren’t expecting to see. Leaning up against the wall was George, his form towering over another girl, their bodies pressed closely together. The girl was pinned against the wall, her back flat against the cool stone, as George hovered above her. His hand was propped against the wall just above her shoulder.
You watched from afar, time seemed to slow down as George leaned in and pressed his lips against the girl's, his hand still holding onto the wall as he deepened the kiss. The sounds of their kissing filled your ears, each one like a dagger through your chest.
The scene before you unfolded like a slow-motion nightmare. You were frozen in place, unable to look away as your heart shattered with each passing second. You knew deep down that George was not yours, he never had been, but seeing him kiss someone else felt like a brutal slap to the face
