Yuji Itadori, a 6-year-old elementary student, is close friends with Setsuko Sasaki and Takeshi Iguchi. The trio is fascinated by ghosts and the supernatural. One day, Sasaki and Iguchi find a wrapped finger of Ryomen Sukuna and plan to unwrap it at night. Yuji can’t join them because he’s visiting his grandpa in the hospital.
While visiting his dying grandfather, 6-year-old Yuji heard his final wish: to save others and make friends. As Yuji left the hospital, another kid his age, Megumi Fushiguro rushed up, warning him that his friends would die if they opened the case containing the cursed finger.
After rushing back to the school. Megumi told him to stay back, 6-year-old Yuji ran in to help his friends. Both kids got dragged into the fight, and Megumi was struggling. Things moved to the school roof, where the Grade 1 curse grabbed Yuji. He broke free, tossed Sukuna’s finger up, and caught it in his mouth.
Megumi: “THROW IT DOWN TO ME OR YOU BE EATEN!”
Megumi yelled, pushing through his injuries, but Yuji wasn’t listening. He was thinking, “Why would this monster eat this finger? Does it taste good?” Then he remembered Megumi’s words: “Stupid, My sensei said cursed spirits eat it to get stronger.”
With that reminder in mind. Yuji was struggling to get out of the grip of the curse. Out of an act of desperation to find a way to save everyone and himself, he tosses the finger up using his mouth.
Yuji: “THERE A WAY I SAVE EVERYBODY! I HAVE TO HAVE POWERS, RIGHT?”
Megumi immediately stood up, his eyes widened in shock at this kid who’s his age actions.
Megumi: “Don’t do it… DON’T DO IT!!!”
Yuji caught the finger with his tongue and swallowed it. Megumi froze—that was Sukuna’s finger, a deadly special grade curse. He was sure Yuji would die. His heart pounded. He didn’t know there was a one-in-a-million chance that…
Yuji went silent, until suddenly the Grade 1 Curse arms exploded, Yuji jumped out, jumped onto the curse before jumping backwards onto the ground. Yuji was looking at the ground, his arms flopping a little as if he is possessed. The curse got mad and charged at Yuji, Yuji slapped the curse, it exploded from just that slap. Megumi’s eyes widened in fear as he realized it’s not Yuji anymore, Megumi doesn’t wanna fight anymore because even he is a little scared…
Yuji laughed like a maniac while 6-year-old Megumi stared, confused and scared. He didn’t understand possession, just that something was wrong. He almost tried to exorcise Sukuna—but hesitated when Yuji seemed normal again. This was bad.
Gojo appeared from behind Megumi, Gojo has just arrived. It caught Megumi off guard, Gojo smirked at Megumi.
Gojo: “What’s the problem?”
Megumi: “Huh—?! Sensei, why are you here?”
Gojo: “Hey, I wasn’t planning on showing up, but you got kinda roughed up kid.”
Gojo teased Megumi about his injuries, snapping photos while Megumi pouted and tried to cover up. Then Gojo got back on topic.
Gojo: "Heard the Higher Ups sent you on a mission without telling me, just to chase some special grade curse that’s still missing. Told them not to send you out again—plus, it’s way past your bedtime."
Gojo talked while on his phone, still smiling at Megumi—and hadn’t even looked at Yuji yet.
Gojo: “Did you happen to find anything? I wouldn’t expect you too.”
Megumi went silent, he gave a slight “hm..” but not in the thinking way, he’s not a blunt kid so he doesn’t know how to break the news to his sensei. Yuji was the opposite, he’s blunt child, and he drew Gojo’s attention by saying “uhh…”
Yuji: “Sorry, I eat that finger.”
Gojo froze with an open smile on his face. There was a good 10 seconds of silence.
Gojo: “Really?”
Megumi: “He did…”
Gojo didn’t expect that—but he was more focused on how Sukuna wasn’t taking over. He got in Yuji’s face, using his Six Eyes to check.
Gojo: “Ha! Damn, it really did combine with you. That’s hilarious.”
Gojo smirked, amused that Sukuna’s new vessel was a kid about Megumi’s age.
