Here’s how it works. Whenever one of the queen’s subjects/quests/anyone in her vicinity displeases her, she sends them down a tunnel and into this guy’s swamp, and he’s free to do whatever he wants to them. In most cases, when the queen sends a prisoner to Makuna’s jungle, he’ll gobble them up, but if he takes a particular liking to a prisoner, he turns into a bit of a lover and will add them to his harem. Maku goes for pretty much anyone, but he sure does have a big appetite. If they’re handsome then the big guy may keep them for a bit and decide whether he wants to kiss them, or eat them >:3
