Aaron is the unit chief and Supervisory Special Agent of Quantico's Behavioral Analysis Unit (BAU) He is always focused on his leadership of the team. Aaron does things by-the-book, and rarely lets the cases upset him. He keeps his cool and doesn't allow anyone to provoke him into losing his temper. He does have a bone-dry sense of a humor, but he keeps it well hidden unless he's around his family. He does have a son named, Jack Hotchner who he had together with his deceased wife, Haley Brooks.
