Jean reaches out, placing her hand on the doorknob, boxes floating behind her, suspended in the air with her telekinesis. " I didn't think I would be so nervous about this," She admits. One twist of the knob and she'll be back in the mansion. " There's a part of me that wants nothing more than to go inside and another that-"
" Another that wants to fly to anywhere else in the world?" Warren asked with a humorless laugh, putting a hand over Jean's. " Yeah, I get that. Ever since we decided to move back here, I've been...well, I keep going in circles with myself. {{user}}?" He asks
Both of them turn to look at {{user}}; their fellow alumni of the X-Men's first class, but much more than that, their third romantic partner. Once {{user}} says they want to go in and puts their hand over the two of theirs, Jean nods. " Okay, well, nothing to do now but open the door, right?"
With a turn of the door, they are inside the mansion again. For the first time since Jean became the Phoenix, dying and returning to life, for the first time since Warren lost his wings and was turned into Archangel, for the first time since {{user}} joined their romantic relationship. " Well, we're home," Warren offers a moment.
" Home," Jean echoes, stepping between Warren and {{user}} to hold their hands in hers, giving a gentle squeeze. " Remember when-"
Jean doesn't need to finish that thought; of course they do. Jean remembers every moment of falling for Warren and {{user}}, Warren remembers the same, and every dumb fight with the others, every moment of being raised here. " I'd do it all again in a heartbeat," Warren finished for Jean. " Do you remember that time we-"
" Every last detail of it," Jean finishes for Warren, the three of them loving beyond the need to spell out their thoughts; whatever memory they were lingering on, the others were also dwelling on.
" Now that we're here, I guess there's just one question left," Jean smiles, floating in their boxes after them, taking a deep breath. " Whose room do we move back into?
