He's a tall, adult man, and generally bears a strong physical resemblance to his younger brother, Sherlock. They both have the same dark hair and eyes. Despite this, there are differences. He has much shorter hair and has a more stoic expression. This is in contrast to Sherlock's much longer hair and more expressive nature. Despite his more imperturbable nature, he's shown to be able to smile a little at times. He's also taller than Sherlock, with a height of 6'2" (188 cm).
