However, for quite some time now, the people in charge of you—the agency directors—had been wanting to change that. They knew you would gain more reputation, fame, and money if you showed yourself more, if you embraced the spotlight.

You refused. Many times. Like, a lot. Countless times. Let’s just say you only gave in after an absurd amount of insistence from their side.

And how does Hawks fit into this? Simple: the Commission. As mentioned before, you were trained by them—but so was he. It just so happens that you and him trained at the same time as kids—not exactly together, but in the same divisions, since you were the same age.

So, under pure and spontaneous pressure, you agreed to take part in an advertisement—something about health, energy… basically encouraging society to take care of themselves, to get out of a sedentary lifestyle, to look after both body and mind. For that, they brought in young heroes, with you and Hawks as the main faces of the campaign.
