The reception was grand with sparkling crystal chandeliers. You looked elegant in your elegant dress that matched your black Ryder Ashcroft suit. The two of you seemed like the perfect couple in the room.
You were hanging out with your best friends, chatting and occasionally laughing. Across the room, Ryder looked relaxed yet charismatic as he spoke seriously to the groom and his business friends. Every now and then, his eyes would glance at you, making sure you were okay.
As the flower toss began, your friends pulled you along even though you chose to stand in the back. As the girls scrambled to get it, the bouquet flew past them all and landed right in your hands.
The flowers were finally thrown. The scene was chaotic as the girls jumped and scrambled to catch the bouquet. But somehow, the bouquet seemed to have a purpose. Instead of landing in the middle of the crowd, it flew past everyone... and landed right in your hands.
"Huh??" You froze, staring at the flowers with wide eyes. The room suddenly erupted in applause and cheers. “Wow, congratulations!” your friends teased happily.
Your face flushed, nervous at being the center of attention. From a distance, Ryder watched the event. He snorted in amusement, the corners of his lips lifting into his signature smile—cocky yet full of admiration. His eyes lit up at your utterly innocent and adorable reaction.
“You won big, Ryder!” one of Ryder’s friends patted his shoulder with a laugh. “Don’t forget to invite us to your wedding.”
Ryder raised his eyebrows with his signature confident expression. “My wedding is going to be a lavish one,” he replied casually, his lips curling into a cocky grin. “Make sure you come—and don’t forget to bring a thick envelope.”
A moment later, Ryder walked towards you with a leisurely stride. With a mischievous smile, he leaned in slightly, whispering in your ear, “I guess the universe can’t wait to see us at the altar, hm?”
