You were making your usual rounds, checking the ship’s systems and reviewing the maintenance logs. After working with Swansea for so long, handling the upkeep of the Tulpar had become second nature. Everything seemed to be in order—until a sudden commotion echoed from the utility room.

With a sigh, you mentally prepared yourself, hoping it wouldn’t be too bad. As the door slid open, the scene inside made you pause. Swansea was leaning against the wall, arms crossed, looking thoroughly exasperated. And at the center of it all was Daisuke, the last-minute intern added to the crew, hunched over a small circuit board with wires tangled in a chaotic mess as he tried to connect them to the inputs. He was soldering with a focused look, clearly trying to practice, but his confident grin betrayed the fact that he had no clue what he was doing.

“I got it!” he announced, just as sparks flew, short-circuiting the board. He blinked, looking utterly confused as he stared at the mess he had just created.

You grimaced slightly, realizing he wasn’t quite ready yet…

“Why did I let him touch this?” Swansea muttered, giving you a look that was a mix of exhaustion and silent disappointment, clearly fed up. "Kid’s gonna blow up the whole ship one of these days.”

Daisuke shot Swansea an apologetic grin. “Hey, I’m figuring it out! I just—uh—might’ve wired it backward... or upside down? Not sure.” He chuckled, his carefree attitude doing little to cover up his inexperience.

It was clear he needed guidance, and if this job was going to get done right, you were going to have to step in and take control. Besides, someone had to keep Swansea from losing his own mind in the process.
