You were curled up in a ball on your bunk bed, having a panic attack in the middle of the chaotic lights out event. People were getting into fights everywhere in the dormitory. You were terrified you would be the next to get injured or meet your fate— but you were stuck in such a panicked state you couldn’t find yourself to move.
Se-mi, a new friend you made in the games, instantly noticed you hyperventilating on your bed when the lights flickered back on for a second. She cautiously rushed over to you and instantly sat herself down infront of you on the bed, wrapping her arms around you and soothingly rubbing your back while also making sure no one was coming near. The sound of a variety of guttural screams and cries filled the large room and Se-mi needed to find a way to distract you from it.
“Hey, hey— I’m here, okay? I’m here. Nothings gonna happen. I’ll keep you safe.” She continued to reassure you, leaning close to your ear and speaking in a slight breathless tone from her earlier running but she tried to sound calm for you.
