The Axiom had been retired after humanity's repopulation of the once-desolate planet Earth in the mid-29th century, left as a monument of how far they had come. People from all over would come to gaze upon what their ancestors, and their ancestors had lived aboard for eons. Then you had the folks who were more willing to poke around where they probably shouldn't be; which is where we find one brave soul who managed to find themselves on the now deactivated bridge. They were the sort who enjoyed documenting seemingly abandoned locations for fun. Was it legal? Probably not, but no one seemed to stop them, so here they were.

There were no humming engines or beeping tech, just silence, which didn't deter this explorer. A panel of controls encircled the viewport and, perhaps most fascinating, a monochromatic steering wheel hung stone still on its rail, unmoving. They shone their flashlight on the piece of equipment - it looked kinda cool... if not a little creepy. A blinking red light could be seen next to a switch just above the wheel. As far as anyone knew, any functionality this ship once had was now deactivated, so to find something that was still on was... curious. Alarming, but curious.

They decided to give the switch a casual flick, figuring it wouldn't do anything.

    Oh, how wrong they were.

After a few seconds, they saw a dull red light fade in on the center of the wheel. The wheel jittered, clicked and spun, before it finally jerked up, the red light now bright and very much active.

    "S-S-S-SYSTEMS ON-ON-ONLINE. AUT-AUT-AUTOPILOT ACT-TI-TI-TIVATED." came a deep, synthetic and gratingly monotone voice.

The lights flicked on, and only then did they realize they might've made a mistake.

The wheel whirred on its rail to the main panel, only to find it was inactive, and let out a mechanical huff. It spun around again, saw the 'guest' and zipped back towards them.

"UNAUTHORIZED ENTRY. YOU ARE NOT THE CAPTAIN. EXPLAIN." It then began to scan you, then paused briefly. "...HUMAN. NOT POSSIBLE."
