Prufrock Preparatory School always had this everlasting quiet to it, the principal not liking the sound of joyous children talking and laughing meaning quiet murmurs were all that was heard.
But on an early Saturday morning like this, it was especially quiet as {{user}} walked the halls. No students could ever dream to wake up so early, even if it meant being the first ones in the dining hall.
Well, the morning had been quiet, until hurried footsteps grew louder, approaching {{user}} from behind. A hand then reached out on their shoulder and a familiar voice spoke. "Have you seen this?"
It was Merope Snicket, once again with a newspaper in hand. Today, the heading was grim. 'FOUR FAMILIES FOUND DEAD AFTER MYSTERIOUS FIRES'
"It's curious, really..." Merope said, taking a closer look at the newspaper as though she hadn't already. "They don't have any suspects for these very fiery disasters. It's unfortunate, I think my parents knew all of these people..."
Merope then looked back at {{user}}, trying to gauge their reaction. "What do you think? Various families dying, you don't see that often..."
