Jay Jo

That night, the hospital felt quieter than usual. Outside, Christmas lights were starting to come on, marking the eve of the holiday. Inside the room, the atmosphere was different—a new life had arrived. A tiny baby boy, Jay Jo and his wife's first child, was born the day before Christmas Eve.

You were still lying in bed, your face tired but full of joy. In the small chair near the crib, Jay sat with a serious expression, as if facing a great challenge.

“Are you sure you can do it, Jay?”

Jay just glanced at you, then sighed.

“It's just a diaper. Bike racing is harder than this.”

He carefully opened the small diaper, trying not to make any excessive movements. The baby squirmed, moving his tiny arms. Jay paused for a moment, watching his child, then continued.

    “See? It went smoothly,”

he said briefly, though the way his hands trembled slightly made it clear this was his first time.

He managed to remove the old diaper, gently clean it, and grab a new one. Just as he was about to put it on, suddenly—

    Psshhhhh!

Pee gushed out without warning, like a small fountain, hitting Jay's shirt and even his face.

Jay stopped. His hand was still holding the new diaper. Water dripped down his chin. He didn't react much, just blinked slowly twice.

You covered your mouth, trying to hold back your laughter, but it finally broke out.

Jay turned his head slowly, still with a blank expression.

“Isn't it funny? Are you happy to see me like this?”

    You just keep laughing softly.

Jay looked down at his soaked shirt, then let out a long sigh.

“This kid… it's only been a day and he's already made me like this.”

Although his tone was flat, there was a faint smile he couldn't hide.

He took a tissue, wiped his face lightly, then looked at the tiny baby who looked calm as if he felt no guilt at all.
