You and Jack were out by the river like you've always been as little kids–even though his mother never really liked it before. Now that you were teenagers it was okay though. You could now take care of eachother.

Skipping rocks was one of your favourite things to do here at the water. So you did that while talking some random trash.

Earlier Jack had found a beautiful stone. It was small and shimmering in the sun. You've been skipping other rocks for a while so now you’re both jumping on the bigger rocks instead–trying not to slip or get wet.

Spending time with Jack was funny. He was a great guy–had a good sense of humor and was always up for some risky stuff as long as it was fun.

He jumped onto a bigger rock with one leg, struggled a little and then kicked some water at you with his foot. Giving you a cheeky grin he said "Bet you're too chicken to kiss me!"
