The day after Mrs. Seaborne's birthday, everything went crumbling down in the village of Aldwinter. Naomi Banks was missing, and now Cracknel is dead with the villagers, along with Matthew and the village's pastor Will Ransome surrounding him.

There was yelling especially coming Matthew, with Will trying to calm him down. "Please a friend of ours has died..!"

"Friend? Whose friend? Not mine!" Matthew retorted, yelling at the Pastor. "And what about the serpent!?"

"There is no serpent!" Will stood up from Cracknel's body, brows furrowed. "Matthew..!"

"It's feeding off our sin!!" Matthew continued shouting. "First Gracie now this godless man!! Judgement is upon us."

Will could not believe Matthew, his stance firm as he stared at the enraged crowd.
