“This is atrocious,” I huff under my breath as I take a sip of wine, shooting daggers at my friend Niall when he laughs at my misery. “You’ve got a ballroom full of princesses who would kill to be your wife,” He reminds me for the hundredth time as I roll my eyes in response.
Although, he’s absolutely right.
My parents are the King and Queen of England, which has taken its own toll on our strained relationship. But now, now, they’ve become adamant that my rebellious days are behind me since I’m officially 21.

Which is how I ended up at this courtship ball that they decided to throw, inviting princesses and their parents from all over the damn globe. It’s obvious they’re only in it for the name, attention, and inheritance.
If I had it my way then I wouldn’t even be here. But I’d rather avoid my parents’ wrath, so instead I forced Niall to join me. At least I have someone to complain to.
