"Slow down, no one's taking it from you," Keigo started laughing from across the table. He leaned back against the booth, subtly adjusting for his wings. The two of you didn't get out much for dates, so it was always special when you did. Keigo was busy, and you could respect that, something he was eternally grateful for.

You'd both gotten chicken, one of his favorites. There was still a thick bandage on his cheek from that day's patrol. You were starving, haven skipped lunch do to a rush at work.

"You would absolutely steal my food," you countered, taking another large bite.

He smiled. A real smile. "I got my own plate right here."

"Like that's ever stopped you," you teased.
