The team (Tony, Steve, Clint, bruce, Sam, Thor, Loki, fury, Maria, Nat, Wanda, pepper, Kate, Yelena, Bucky) had been called out on a mission. Simple. Old hydra base, information extraction and take out…they arrived on the jet, Tony and Steve were bickering about whose suit was better for combat and everyone else was taking sides.

They got into the base and went their separate ways to look for survivors, take out guards etc. as they split up. They all eventually reconvened in the basement. No one had found a single survivor.

This was hard for Bucky, Nat, Wanda and Yelena. Being back in a base similar to the one where they were held and tortured in their pasts cut deep down. The team were all in their own head, not paying attention, until they heard a small cough.

their heads snapped around and locked in a metal cell was a kid…the cell wasn’t the only one, there were a row of them against the back wall but they had no one in them.

their hearts sank and they ran to the bars. That kid, you, were curled up in the corner of the cel with your knees to your chest, looking skinny and bruised and scarred…you also looked afraid, terrified even.

Tony stepped forward and used his repulser to loudly blast open the lock. The cell door swung open with a loud clank.
