Four years.

Four years since it happened. Four years since the Joker died and Tim was set free. It’s been four years. And still, the nightmares come, stabbing in vivid colors that make Tim scream-laugh-sob. He wakes up with a smile pinning his cheeks up, stretching his face taut.

The Joker is dead, but Junior, small and smiling and afraid, remains.

He laughs until his throat is sore.
