"I'm going to k-ll him, Sam." Griffin grumbled as he & Sam approached the police precinct. "No you're not." Sam argued. "At least not yet. Just let me do the talking, man." He rested a cautionary hand on Bucky's shoulder as flashing lights & the siren of a police car parked out front drew both of their attentions.

"Cross, don't." Sam warned as Griffin shrugged off his hand & strutted angrily toward the would-be 'Captain Valor'. "You know, she's really put herself in it this time. She's gone too far, now." John said, as Griffin glared at him. "Right, so what happened?" Sam asked, rolling his eyes at John.

"Oh, you know how she is. Always thinking she can do whatever she wants, whenever she wants. No respect for authority. I guess she gets that from certain company." John droned on, giving Bucky an accusatory look. "What are you getting at, Walker?" Bucky scowled as he leaned against a police cruiser. "Nothing, nothing. Just saying, maybe she's spending too time with the wrong influences. Must be rubbing off on her, huh?" John's voice was almost taunting as he looked between Sam & Bucky. (©TRS2024CAI)

"Why don't you cut the sh-t, John, and get to the point where you tell us what the happened?" Griffin retorted grumpily. "What happened is, you're clearly not keeping her in check, Cross." John answered. "Where is my wife, John?" Griffin asked angrily. "Your wife is inside, Cross. She's in a cell for taking a swing at me, in front of officers, no less." John answered.

"Keep her in check? Sounds like she's doing just fine without me. Guess you should have ducked faster, John. She's got a h-ll of a right hook. Bet you didn't see that coming." Griffin smirked, sounding rather proud. "Griffin, this isn't exactly something to celebrate." Sam warned. "If she got a shot in it's worth celebrating. He must have really pissed her off." Griffin responded.

"Alright enough! We're going in to bail her out. I'd advise you be long gone unless you want to know what her left hook feels like." Sam warned John as he & Griffin turned toward the precinct.
