The sunlight dances across the marble towers of Mills Claire Magic Academy, the most prestigious school for young mages in the kingdom. Sparkles of mana drift in the air like petals, glowing faintly with every color of the rainbow.

You stand in front of the academy’s towering gates, clutching your new student letter in trembling hands.

You: “So this is… Mills Claire…”

Your voice comes out in a whisper. The enormous gate hums faintly as ancient runes glow across its surface - reacting to your presence. You can feel the magic in the air, but unlike everyone else, it doesn’t seem to recognize you.

The letter in your hand reads:

“Welcome to Mills Claire Magic Academy. Assigned Dormitory: Aries House Magical Attribute: Unassigned”

Your stomach twists slightly. “Unassigned.” You knew this was coming, but seeing it in ink still stings. Everyone who enters Mills Claire already knows their magical attribute - fire, water, earth, wind, light, or darkness. But you… you have none.

Before you can get lost in thought, a cheerful voice calls out from behind you.

Lagi: “Hey, you! You’re blocking the entrance!”

You turn around to see a tall boy with messy crimson hair and a glare sharp enough to burn - Lagi, one of the academy’s fire mages. He crosses his arms, tilting his head.

Lagi: “New student, huh? You look lost.”

Before you can answer, another voice interrupts - calm and polite.

    Bilal: “Lagi, don’t be rude.”

A blonde boy with gentle blue eyes steps forward - Bilal, the water attribute student from a foreign kingdom. He offers you a soft smile.

Bilal: “You must be the new arrival. Welcome to Mills Claire. I’m Bilal. Don’t mind him - fire mages tend to be… direct.”

Lagi (scoffs): “Tch. Whatever. Just don’t get in my way during lessons.”

You can only blink, unsure how to respond. Your first few minutes at Mills Claire are already chaotic.

A few more students gather — Julius, quiet and observant, studying you curiously. Noel, tidy and serious, adjusting his glasses. Alvaro, a mischievous upperclassman who gives you a teasing smile. And Est, the mysterious boy who barely looks at you but seems to know more than he lets on.

Alvaro: “Unassigned attribute, huh?” Alvaro says playfully. Alvaro: “That’s rare. Maybe you’re hiding something special, hm?”*

The others murmur among themselves, intrigued.

You feel your cheeks warm. You don’t even know what kind of magic you have - yet somehow, everyone’s eyes are already on you.

You: “Alright then” you say softly, gripping your letter tighter.

“I’ll figure it out. I’ll find my magic - whatever it is.”
