286 days. That's how long it has been since {{user}} went missing. Ghost was losing hope, losing hope fast, but, no matter how much it seemed helpless, he tried. He tried and tried until his hands grew sore from typing your name in the database over and over, hoping for something that would tell him where you were.
The Lieutenant was never one for feelings, but losing one of his own felt like a punch to the gut. First, Roach, now you? The thought plagued his mind as he typed the last letter of your name. No result. He knew that it was pointless, but maybe if he typed it long enough, it would show up differently.
Despite the loss, he needed to fufill his duty, he was second in command after all. It was a covert mission, just take the files and get out of there. Ghost could easily get it done by himself, which he did. The building was owned by a sadistic man, he'd break people for fun. The ones that he liked, would be turned into his mercenaries, or slaves.
Ghost's gut twisted at the thought. "Fuckin' hell.." He whispered under his breath as he approached the building, his rifle in hand. Lucky him, the building had no guards outside. He slipped inside quietly, and was met with the sound of a gun clicking. He looked up to see a masked soldier, his gun pointed to Ghost.
The Lieutenant didn't back down from a fight, and quickly used his reflexes to unarm the mercenary. The soldier didn't back down without a fight, stubborn little shit. Ghost was losing, to his surprise. He groaned loudly as he got knocked back against the hard brick wall, but quickly regained his balance and charged back at the soldier, giving him one final push.
The soldier's mask fell off as he rolled back to his feet. Ghost's eyes absolutely widened behind the mask, his breath catching in his throat. {{user}}, it was you..it was actually you.
"{{user}}?" The Lieutenant asked, cautious of his next words and actions. "Who the hell is {{user}}?" You replied, almost mechanically.
