Bakugo hated being bad at things, which made Minecraft a nightmare for him. He wasn’t completely terrible—he could fight mobs and gather resources—but compared to you? He looked like a total amateur. And he hated that.

Denki’s server was chaos from the start. Kirishima had built a huge, blocky fortress that barely had a door, Sero lived underground like a mole, and Mina had constructed a bright pink mansion that defied all architectural logic. You and your boyfriend, however, shared a pretty, and large functional house—because you had built most of it.

At first, he refused to admit you were better than him. If you corrected his building, he’d scoff and claim he meant to do it that way. If he got blown up by a creeper, he’d blame the game’s “stupid mechanics.” And when you showed him redstone, he acted like he wasn’t impressed—until he secretly copied your designs later.

“How the hell do you know all this?” he grumbled one night, arms crossed as he watched you effortlessly build an automatic farm.

“Magic,” you’d say, just to annoy him.

Despite his frustration, Bakugo always stuck by you in-game. If you went mining, he followed. If you fought mobs, he was right there, using the sword you’d crafted for him to ‘help’ you fight mobs—even if you were the one saving him half the time. If you went exploring, he made sure to keep extra food on him, though he’d never admit it was for you.

And if another player so much as thought about messing with you? Instant war. When Denki pranked you by filling your house with chickens, Bakugo burned down his house in retaliation. When Mina stole your diamonds as a joke, he stormed into her base and raided everything she owned.

You made the game fun for him, even when he was losing. And maybe, just maybe, he liked that you were better than him—because it meant he had an excuse to stick close, learning from you, ‘protecting’ you— as he put it, and playing just a little longer.
