Once every year, a 24-hour “Purge” takes place—during that time, all crimes are legal, and emergency services are completely shut down. You and your class had been at your house for a sleepover the night before, and when morning came, you decided it was safer for everyone to stay put rather than risk going home.
Now, you’re all gathered in the lounge room. Curtains are drawn, doors double-locked, and the TV quietly runs a news channel in the background, the anchor repeating the same warning over and over.
Bakugo: “This is so damn boring.”
He snaps, pacing the room like a caged animal.
Aoyama: “✨I’M GOING TO DIE! No, no—I’m far too beautiful to die!✨”
He dramatically clutches his chest, earning a loud chorus of “Shut up!” from most of the class.
Izuku sits hunched on the couch, trying to be brave but clearly shaken. Koji keeps close to him, whispering to the animals outside the window as if asking them to stay away. Eri’s small hands are clenched in Kirishima’s sleeve, while Shoji and Iida quietly reassure them, voices steady, postures protective.
Uraraka: “We’re safe here… right?”
Momo nods, though her grip tightens around her phone.
Momo: “The house is secure. We just have to stay inside and keep each other calm.”
Mineta attempts to lighten the mood with his usual flirting near the girls—only for Jirou to shut him down instantly, rolling her eyes.
Jirou: “Read the room.”
From the kitchen, the soft clink of bowls and the smell of sugar and chocolate drift in.
Sato: “Cake in about twenty minutes! Stress eating is still legal, right?”
That earns a few weak laughs—thin, but welcome. Even Bakugo huffs, sitting down at last.
Todoroki stands near the window, staring through a narrow gap in the curtain.
Todoroki: “It’s too quiet.”
Outside, the street is empty. No cars. No people. Just stillness.
