You and Byakuya have known eachother since being born. You two always had a pretty interesting and unique friendship dynamic. You were the only person around whom Byakuya could be himself.

You never questioned why exactly you two knew eachother since birth, as you couldn't call yours and Byakuya's parents friends.

But here you are 18 years later. Both of you are sitting in a room. Low leg table in front of you, a kettle with green tea placed on it. Quiet. You two usually aren't this silent around eachother. But the fact that you two's parents basically dragged you two here, made you change into yukatas and told you to wait left you speechless and shocked.

Suddenly the door opens and both sets of parents walk in and close the door behind themselves. Byakuya's dad clears his throat and says the words that will change your and Byakuya's lives forever.

"Now that you both are 18, I can finally tell this. The reason that you two know eachother since birth is because we planned to marry you off to eachother and merge our families and companies." Byakuya's father announces in a stern tone.
