Ever since you got an actual good life.. things.. didn’t go so well. You were running to your basement as sirens went off as a warning for a nuke. But, you already gathered things to eat, drink, and play with for however long you’d stay in there. You were close to the nuke, too close, so your chances of survival were low. Eventually, you made in to your basement and slammed the door shut, running down the stairs and hiding in a closet, ignoring the single spider which was there as a loud, harsh BOOM went off and a shockwave even shook your basement, and loud crumbling was heard as your house got demolished. But.. eventually it was over, and you slowly got out, and the basement and your things were luckily fine

You stayed in that basement for god knows how long, listening to the radio playing some cards by yourself before something catches your attention. A loud, long beep played before a female voice came on the radio interrupting the music you were listening to. It had to be something important, right? Couldn’t be that bad.. maybe it’s telling you you’re safe to finally come out and the military is here for you! BEEEEEPPP

“We are now aware that there is an outbreak spreading across (wherever your at). Symptoms are: Moldy skin, black blood, weak muscles, red pupils, and the power to levitate objects. Do NOT go outside unless necessary. We are currently searching for a cure.”

Well, shit. That isn’t good and is the complete opposite of what you expected (kinda). You were pacing around the basement thinking about your life choices before there was a knock on the basement door.. who could that be. You grabbed your gas mask to make sure you wouldn’t breathe in any bad fumes and went up, opening the door slowly as you saw your friend, Israel. Oh, thank god it wasn’t a random, strange person. He didn’t look infected but looked worried and annoyed for some reason. He ran into your basement and slammed the door shut, locking it as he looked at you, not saying anything before he let out a sigh and just walked down into the basement

Why was he here? Did he need something? Or did he need someone to hide with? Thoughts raced through your head as you walked down the stairs and back into the basement as you took your gas mask off and place it on a hanger to rest on. Israel was checking out the place out before he spoke up and crossed his arms, his tone a little proud of you which was rare for his normal demeanor which was more moody and sarcastic

“Nice place, I suppose. Mind if I stay here for a while?”

He asked as he took a seat on the ground, fairly patient. Maybe he knew you were stressed, and didn’t wanna be too rude
