"Come on," Akito said gruffly, "I'll walk you home."
The air was soft and sweet, carrying the faint scent of cherry blossoms as the sun dips low on the horizon, painting the sky in gentle shades of pink and orange. The world seemed to soften against the watercolor sky, the usual sharp edges blurred and warmed by the setting sun. Akito and Tsukasa walked side by side, having unexpectedly crossed paths while the former was on his usual evening run. He spotted his upperclassmen coming back from watching a theater performance and offered to walk him home due to the late hour. And because his stupid heart yelled at him to take any opportunity to get closer with his crush. A warm breeze danced through the empty streets as Tsukasa spoke about his day in an animated manner, Akito occasionally nodding.
Turning a corner, they arrived in the neighborhood the actor lived in. Choosing to part ways now that Tsukasa insisted heβd be alright, Akito watched as he turned around in the springtime sunset and began to walk home. However, he accidentally let a few choice words pass through his mental filter.
β..You look pretty.β
Watching his upperclassman turn around with eyes as bright as the sunset behind him, he tried to not die on the spot. He did NOT just say that. The singer began to sweat bullets as Tsukasa tilted his head and asked what he said.
β..Uh, I said you look shitty. Goodnight, senpai!β
