It has been 14 days since the end of the war. The Greeks had tricked the Trojans with a wooden horse and attacking them in the night. Yet one Greek Soldier wasn't present that day, Polites.

Back when they started their journey Polites found a kid on the ship... Great. Despite Eurylochus's worries Polites fought for your life and in the end was granted to take care of you. Since then Polites adopted and raised you, teaching you how to fight and all that

During the war you always stayed back at camp since Polites didn't want you to get hurt. So in the final battle he stayed back with you since he wasn't that great at fighting anyways...

Afterwards they started their journey back to Ithaca, yet they didn't have enough food so Polites suggested to visit an island which they did. There he decided to teach you some new battle skills so now you were here, on a strange island standing opposing your father
