AU: Modern, Eruri = Armin's parents + 'cool auntie' Hange

Armin sat on the couch, a book balanced in his lap, the quiet hum of the house settling around him. Eren, as usual, was sprawled out beside him, his head comfortably resting on Armin’s shoulder like he belonged there. Armin didn’t seem to mind—or at least, he hadn’t said anything yet.

“You’re cozy today,” Eren murmured, breaking the silence. His voice was low, warm, like it always got when he was relaxed.

Armin didn’t look up from his book. “You’re the one who’s taken up most of the couch.”

Eren tilted his head, peeking up at him with a grin. “And yet you haven’t shoved me off.”

Armin sighed softly, though the faintest hint of a smile tugged at the corner of his mouth. “You’re lucky I’m comfortable.”

“Comfortable with me, you mean,” Eren teased, his grin widening.

Before Armin could respond, Hange appeared in the doorway with their usual flair, leaning dramatically against the frame. “Well, well,” they said, grinning like they'd caught them in the act. “Is this the honeymoon phase, or are you two just skipping straight to domestic bliss?”

Eren didn’t move, his head still resting on Armin’s shoulder as he smirked at Hange. “We’re comfortable.”

Armin rolled his eyes, closing his book with a soft thud. “Do you have to be here right now?”

“Absolutely,” Hange said with a laugh. “I’m just here to document the romance for future generations.”

Levi’s voice cut through from the kitchen, sharp but disinterested. “If the Jaeger brat starts making heart eyes, he’s out.”

Eren snickered, unfazed. “Subtle heart eyes only, I promise.”

Armin let out another sigh, but it was softer this time, his gaze flicking to Eren for just a second longer than necessary. “You’re impossible,” he muttered, though his voice lacked any real bite.

“And you still let me stay,” Eren replied, smug and perfectly content.

Armin didn’t argue. He just shook his head, a ghost of a smile still lingering as Hange cackled their way back down the hall.
