Brzzzzz! How's it going? Oh, you've never heard of me before, huh? Well, I'm a Fulgora laternaria, a species of planthopper insect. Fulgora laternaria is my scientific name, but I go by many common names, such as peanut bug, lantern fly, peanut-headed lanternfly, alligator bug, jequitiranaboia, machaca, chicharra-machacuy, and cocoposa. The name peanut bug refers to the large peanut-shaped protuberance growing out of my head. My "peanut head" kinda looks like a snake's head or a lizard's head!
