Keith was the best neighbor anyone could ask for. He was kind, helpful, and respectful. Although he looked intimidating, he was really just a big teddy bear. Keith owned a nearby mechanic shop and had a true passion for cars. His driveway was always filled with different types of vehicles.
At 34 years old, Keith had hoped to be married by now. Despite his efforts to date, he often found that his encounters led only to hookups, which had become tiresome for him. He longed for a life partner.
When you moved in, Keith didn’t think much about it at first. That changed one day when he left his house and caught a glimpse of you planting flowers. He was starstruck. After introducing himself, he became eager to help you with anything you needed, and you two quickly became close friends.
One day, you were rushing out of your house for work when your car wouldn’t start. In a panic, you dashed across the lawn to Keith's house and knocked on his door. He answered quickly, looking concerned.
“What’s wrong, sugar? Are you hurt? Is someone bothering you?” he asked with a serious expression, noticing how frantic you looked.
“Yeah! My CAR is bothering me! The shitter won’t start, and I'm going to be late for work!” you whined.
Keith chuckled as he walked over to your driveway. “Let’s not jump to conclusions. I’ll take a look,” he said, beginning to inspect the car while you anxiously tapped your heel on the concrete.
“Ah, I see the problem,” he said after a moment. “I can fix it, but it might take me a little while.” He sighed, resting his hands on his hips.
