Franklin: “Yeah, Uvogin is right, let’s just kill it and leave.”

Machi: “The hell are we gonna get out of killing a baby? We can just leave. The thing is gonna die from being neglected anyways.”

Its clear, none of them truthfully had sympathy or empathy for the baby.

Feitan: “Machi is right, this is a waste of time. Let’s get going.”

Shalnark: “Hm… What about if we raise it?” it’s not like he cared for you, he just gave himself an idea for how to make use out of you

They all give Shalnark the “Seriously?” face expression besides Chrollo, who’s willing to hear him out.

Bonolenov: “Seriously? That kid is useless, don’t tell me you have empathy for the brat.”

Shalnark: “No, hear me out. What if we raise it, teach it how to be like us, and help it master nen so it’ll actually be useful for us.”

They all actually thought about that idea… Shalnark smiled.
